Identifying, assisting and developing business idea's into self-sustainable entities, with the emphasis on uplifting, empowering and eradicating poverty in previously disadvantaged communities through means of proudly RSA local manufacture and business coaching and mentoring.

New Business Launch

Powerz-On in conjunction with Gryphon Enterprise Development, a sister company, and the enterprise development division at the CSI Group, started an empowerment initiative with the explicit objective of assisting disadvantaged people who have a passion and desire to operate their own businesses, but do not have the opportunity to do so.

Our business model is based on the creation and development of entrepreneurs, which will be black-owned and managed entities. We are providing a sustainable model to empower communities in South Africa by applying the principles of excellence, empowerment and sustainability.

On the 25 March 2011, Gryphon Enterprise Development hosted a launch for three of Powerz-On's employees who were given the opportunity to start their own businesses. They were trained for one month on how to operate and manage their own business. In addition to the training they received, these three individuals were on a nine month coaching program sponsored by the CSI Group. Three brand new businesses were launched that day, two of which are in the renewable energy sector: Zolani Solar Water Heating Solutions and Khula Solar Water Projects; the other business is in the services sector: Bright Spot Cleaning Services.

The launch was successful and these businesses now operate fully on their own with some support from Gryphon, which will slowly be phased out in the next three months. The training and coaching they received will hopefully carry them through to become successful entities.
